Tea Ceremony, Spring Festival, and Kyoto

This post is long-ish, mostly because I took so many pictures during my trip to Kyoto that I just had to include. This is about the month of April up until the 19th. Yet another really busy month, there were a lot of schedule clashes to put it that way. I love being busy, although it can be hard to find time to study.

Nara

This weekend my host family and I drove down to Nara City, to have a look at some old temples, buddhas, and deer.

Kyushu Trip Part 2

I finally got around to writing about the rest of the trip! I started school a week ago, and I´ve been busy adjusting to my new schedule. I start school at eight and don´t come home until after six because of Kyudo club practice, so this last week I was perpetually exhausted. I´m getting used to it, and I think it´ll force me to be more efficient.

St. Petersburg

We spent the night docked in St. Petersburg, so we spent two days in the city. On the first day we went on a tour to the Hermitage museum, and then we went to see various churches and cathedrals. 9 hours of nonstop heavy duty sightseeing. Unfortunately, I only have pictures taken with my phone because I forgot to put the memory chip back into the camera after uploading photos the night before.
The second day was a bit more relaxing, since it consisted of us touring the Nevsky Prospekt.

Tallinn/Rakvere

Our first stop on the cruise was in Tallinn, Estonia. I had never been to Estonia, and knew hardly anything about the country so I was super exited to go. We went on a tour of a medieval castle in the town of Rakvere, and later we went back to Tallinn to tour the Old Town.

Copenhagen

Long time no talk! For the last 10+ days I´ve been on a cruise ship with limited internet access. Honestly it felt a little good to disconnect for a bit, as long as I tried to ignore the urge to update/study/check instagram. But as a result, I have so many pictures to share and things to write about, I don´t know where to start!
